The Vieira de Sousa Family has been producing Port Wine for 5 generations, and until recently always selling their Port wine to other Port wine companies. José Ermelindo Vieira de Souza was the head master in our Port wine business, producing and selling with the family name. In 2009 the family decided to restart bottling their own Port wine and sell with their own brand again name: Vieira de Sousa.
2012 Late Bottled Vintage Port
This LBV has a deep black color, with a concentrated aroma of red and black fruit. Still a very young and alive LBV. The grapes to produce this great LBV were hand selected and picked from 30+ year old vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douron then fermented with traditional foot treading in lagares. After fortification with grape brandy, the wine was aged in inox tanks and old oak vats. It was only bottled four years later in September of 2016.
